Lesson 10: Putting it together (how to learn safely + next steps)
Goal: leave with a safe learning plan and a clear path from beginner to confident operator.
Beginner
Start small. Learn how wallets work. Never share your seed phrase. Don’t rush. Bitcoin rewards patience and understanding.
Intermediate
Build a safe progression:
- Buy a small amount on an exchange.
- Withdraw to a wallet you control.
- Practice receiving, sending, and checking confirmations.
- Learn fees and do a low-fee transaction when the network is calm.
- Set up a long-term storage plan (hardware wallet + secure backups).
Expert lens
Treat Bitcoin like critical infrastructure. Verify before you trust: run a node when ready, understand transaction policies,
and design custody around your real threat model (theft, coercion, accidents, inheritance, operational mistakes).
Next topics to add to the site: running a node, fee management strategies, privacy basics, Lightning routing + liquidity, multisig ops, inheritance plans.
Safe rule: never scale money faster than you scale competence.
If the setup feels confusing, reduce the amount and keep learning.
